Monica Defortuna is the Vice President of Fortune Christie's International Realty. Since its founding in 1990 by her brothers, Walter and Edgardo Defortuna, Fortune has grown in reputation and experience as the premier Latin American real estate firm in South Florida. It’s also the largest family-owned and operated real estate firm in Florida. Ms. Defortuna, a native of Cordoba, Argentina, acquired a law degree from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba and a master's degree in Administrative Law. She brought her law background when joining Fortune Christie’s International Realty at its inception.

Ms. Defortuna specializes in commercial and luxury residential real estate. She is among the top half of 1% of Realtors in the United States. She has sold luxury properties in Key Biscayne, Brickell, Fisher Island, Coconut Grove, Hibiscus, Palm and Star Islands, as well as luxury condominiums in such exclusive, high-profile developments as The Ocean Club, Grand Bay, Santa Maria, Bristol, Jade, Icon Brickell, Portofino, The Bath Club, The Setai, Akoya, Ocean One and Two, Continuum, Four Seasons, One Bal Harbour, and Bellini.
